Commodification of women is today one of the biggest threats to women’s sexual and reproductivehealth and rights. As long as the trade in women for prostitution, pornography and surrogacy is a blind spot in SRHR policies, women’s sexual and reproductive rights will never be secured.
This event will present a modern response to these growing threats to women’s rights.

Every year there are many national and international sporting events organized worldwide. As thousands of people come to take part in these events as sport fans, facilitators, managers, journalists etc. the scope and intensity of prostitution and sex trafficking in
women and girls grow.

During our seminar we will discuss:
- How do we address the issue of men’s demand for women’s and girls’ bodies?
- How do we provide better support and protection for women and girls in prostitution and trafficking?
- How do we raise public awareness both in the host countries and participating countries?
